So many special events are held in the summer – from weddings to music festivals, even birthday parties. All these events leave behind mountains of waste and have their own carbon footprint on the environment. In this podcast, experts propose alternative solutions.
Julieta Dobcheva is one of the creators of the Nold Platform, which seeks a new life for quality second-hand clothes. According to her, you can buy a second-hand dress for a wedding. A similar example is given by Greta Ašmantaitė, an organizer of environmental events from Lithuania. Danita Zarichinova from the Association „For the Earth“ sais that music festivals can create so-called „deposit system“ for cups. Birthdays can be celebrated in nature, on a farm with organic food. Similar events are organized by Silvia Uzunova at her farm. It turns out that this kind of events are well received by 14-year-olds Konstantina Yaneva and Ana Adamova.
